Pizza Bites
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons Wildtree Natural Grapeseed oil, divided
- ⅓ cup diced onion
- ⅓ cup diced green bell pepper
- 1 package Wildtree So Quick & Easy Pizza Dough Mix, prepared according to packagedirections up to resting point
- 3 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into 12 cubes
- ¼ cup mini pepperoni
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon granulated garlic
- ½ teaspoon grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a 9-inch pie tin or line a sheet pan with aluminum foil. Heat 1 teaspoon Natural Grapeseed Oil in an 8-inch nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Sauté onion and bell pepper until soft and lightly browned, remove from pan, and set aside. Divide the pizza dough into 12 equal sized balls and roll each one out to about ¼-inch thickness. Place one mozzarella cube, 4-5 pepperoni slices (or 2 slices if using regular-sized pepperoni), and 1-2 teaspoons onion and bell pepper on each piece of dough. Pull the edges of the pizza dough together to form small, completely sealed bites and place in the prepared pie tin or sheet pan. Lightly brush remaining oil over the top of the dough balls. Lightly sprinkle black pepper, granulated garlic, and Parmesan cheese over the top of the dough balls. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with tomato sauce if desired
